Julianne Hough
Born July 31st, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Julianne Hough grew up with 10 siblings in a Mormon household. When she was only ten years old, Hough moved away from her family to London, England, to study dance. She trained and studied wholeheartedly with several dance coaches and attended the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts.
Studying both dance and vocal music, Hough’s dedication to dance was rewarded in the form of becoming the youngest and the only American to earn the titles of International Youth Champion as well as Junior Blackpool World Latin Champion. After this, she returned to Utah at 15 years old, and spent the remainder of her high school years living at home with her family. Unfortunately for Hough, because she had spent so much time away from ‘regular’ life and in the professional spotlight, Hough found it difficult to reintegrate herself into daily high school life.
After high school, Hough moved on her own to Los Angeles, hoping to find opportunities to build her career in dance, acting, and music. She was able to earn herself a position as a dancer on the ABC program Show Me the Money, and not long after was recruited to a spot as company dancer for the Dancing with the Stars American tour. When professional dancer Kym Johnson had to retire from the tour due to an arm injury, Hough became her replacement and found herself dancing with former New Kid on the Block member Joey MacIntyre.
Hough also earned herself the role of Assistant Choreographer for Gwen Stefani’s “Wind It Up” music video, and is a self-professed singer-songwriter that hopes to pursue that side of her training in the future. She is not currently romantically linked to any known personalities, and it appears that at least for the time being, Hough would like to focus on building her career.
Known for keeping in touch with her fans on a regular basis, Hough has been quoted as saying her favorite books are The Lord of the Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird, and anything written by Nicholas Sparks. She also enjoys watching reruns of Friends and Alias, and is an avid follower of the dramatic weekly thriller 24.
In 2007, Hough joined the cast of the reality show Dancing with the Stars for Season 4, paired with celebrity dancer and Olympic gold medallist Apolo Anton Ohno.

julianne , although you are a fabulous dancer and singer and you have the title of danceing with the stars best professional dancer , many people have heard you and know your from utah and you are mormon , many people and I cannot watch the show anymore because of all your immodesty , you are wearing tiny close not covering your body and its to innapropriate for anyone to watch unless you want more votes then please change the way you dress , there are many other festive costumes you could wear that are not tiny and skimpy that are like 10 times better , you are suppose to be a role model and example to girls and utah and mormon’s please change your appearence so more people could actually watch it
thank you for your time!

Dear Hadddi,
Before you lecture people on what to wear, maybe you should learn how to spell the word “clothes.” Spend less time in the temple and more time in school. The word “close” refers to being near something or shutting a door – “close” is not something you wear.
Also dancing doesn’t have an “e” If you’re going to criticize someone, at least use spell check.

hey CP,
Hadddi’s right. i’m a teenager myself. and julianne isn’t setting a good example. chill out, don’t be critical of the mormon belief. that’s none of your business. and i’m pretty sure over the internet, spell check isn’t needed.

I think Ella and Hadddi each need to get a life and stop being so envious and jealous. Mormons in general make great entertainers and when you are an entertainer costumes go hand in hand with the shows you’re in. It’s people like Ella and Hadddi, who are so concerned about what their peers wear (or don’t wear) that need to get their heads checked because a) they’re spending way too much time on the Internet when they should be praying more or setting examples for other girls as they so preach, and b) they need to ask themselves WHY they are really picking on Julianne.

I agree that Julianne should be wearing more modest clothing. It’s not just when she is on the show, off camera as well she is very immodest. She says all this talk about being “modest” & how her Mormon standards influence it. I cannot find one picture where she is actually dressed AT ALL. & you should really stop with the rude comments (above) Thank you!
