Keeping an Eye on Elliot and Gedeon
Tonight was tough for me. Last night, I had pretty clear-cut choices of who should go, but it wasn’t so easy tonight with the guys. I had some surprise favorites – Elliot and Gedeon. Never really felt them before, but tonight, I thought they both did great. Also enjoyed Bucky’s remake of “The Thunder Rolls.” But I do have to say he should be happy he wasn’t born 50 years ago or he would have gone down in the plane with the rest of Lynard Skynard. Ace has just never done anything for me and tonight was no exception. I actually cringed during parts of his song. Taylor, one of my favorites, did okay. Not as great as last week, but I feel confident he will make it through. Kevin – how can I say Harry Potter was bad? He’s such a cute kid, but he does not need to sing Marvin Gaye! Will – I like it better when he sings 70’s songs. Maybe it is the hair. My other favorite, David, returned to crooning and while he didn’t impress the judges, I liked it. The judges loved Chris, but I just – I dunno. To me, he sounds like too many guys already on the radio. The best part of the night was when Ryan untucked Will’s shirt and Simon told him to get off the stage quickly. For some reason, Ryan didn’t think it was as funny as everyone else. Anyhow, who should go home? It was a real nice story he told about his parents, but I’d have to say Sway. Not sure whom else – I’d probably send Ace home, but I know that isn’t happening.
