Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne has proven she is a trouper as she has outlasted many of the other female contestants on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars.” A thinner, more mature Kelly and partner Louis Van Amstel are not only lasting on the show, but often find themselves at the top of the scoreboard.

Kelly was born on October 27 in London, England, 1984, the second child of rocker Ozzy and his wife, manager/”America’s Got Talent” judge Sharon Osbourne. She has an older sister (Aimee), a younger brother (Jack), and an “adopted” brother (Robert Marcato). Home life was rarely stable for Kelly as the family moved around with Ozzy as he toured. She was thrust into the limelight at age 16 when her family starred in the popular reality series “The Osbournes” for MTV. The show followed the family’s day to day life and portrayed Kelly as a “wickedly funny, brutally honest, pint-size, potty-mouthed spitfire” according to Rolling Stone.

While doing the “The Osbournes,” Kelly began her music career, releasing her debut album “Shut Up!” in 2002. Although the album received critical reviews, it sold fairly well in the U.S. and Europe. She was dropped by Epic in 2003, but signed with Sanctuary later that year and released “Changes,” a Black Sabbath single with her father Ozzy. Kelly battled her weight and her album “Sleeping in the Nothing” received controversy when it was rumored that her image had been altered to make her appear thinner. She has said she is working on tracks for her third studio album soon.

Kelly began her career as an actress in 2004 when she appeared on the ABC drama “Life As We Know It.” She played Wendy in “The Queen’s Handbag” and did a voiceover for “Live Freaky Die Freaky” in 2006.

Kelly appeared in the West End musical Chicago, but was forced to leave due to a back injury in October 2007. She won the Theatre Actress of the Year award at the Glamour UK ceremony. She will appear with Brooke Hogan in the upcoming horror film Devour, set to be released in 2010. She is also scheduled to appear in a drama titled “Hollywood Forever” in 2010 as well.

Kelly co-hosted 2006’s “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Now” and appeared as a judge on “Making Your Mind Up.” She has presented at many award ceremonies including the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards, the 2005 MTV Australia Video Music Awards, and the National Television Awards. She also hosts a BBC Radio 1 show titled “Radio 1’s The Surgery” on Sunday nights.

Kelly launched her own fashion line, Stiletto Killers, in 2004 with friend Ali Barone, but the line closed in 2006. She became the face of Accessorize, with ads seen across Europe, Canada, Russia, and the Middle East in 2006. She also modeled for Heatherette. Kelly released her autobiography “Fierce” in September 2009.

Kelly has had substance abuse problems in the past, having entered rehab twice in her young life. She seems to have put all that behind her now though. She is currently engaged to model Luke Worrall.
