Kid Nation
What if were given a chance to rebuild our nation all over again? What if we’re given the chance to create new rules on each of the aspect of our life? What if we start not only in perspective but we start all over again with kids?
This is the premise of the new reality show of CBS that will be starting in September 19, 8PM ET. The show will feature 40-kids left alone in an abandoned town in Bonanza New Mexico. Aged 8 to 15, they will try to recreate a society under the care by the elders, also the kids, selected by the kids themselves. They will do all the stuff that the adults do to strive in the community: cook, clean, wash and run things in their own little business. It’s just like a little community of pioneers, only a little bit younger.
Each Episode, the community will be meeting and they will discuss their problems and give the members a chance to complain with the leaders. In each of the episode, the community will also vote for the best member of the community. The reward is a gold star – pure gold star that’s worth at least $20,000. Instead of eliminations, the community just asks a simple question: “Who wants to go home?” even with the $20,000 hanging, nothing beats the feeling of finally going home for these kids.
What’s interesting is that you’ll be able to see the natural leaders in these kids. Some will surely fight and argue but someone will just blurt out and tell them to keep quite. Some will continue with an inspirational speech and you’ll witness before you very eyes how a young group will survive in their in their very little community – before they decide to go home. The show will be hosted by Jonathan Karsh.
