Laura and Max win on Grease: You’re the one that I want
The show is over for Austin and Ashley, but for Laura and Max the show is just beginning. On the finale of Grease: You’re the one that I want we found out who America wanted to star in the show – and that was Max and Laura. I kind of started to like Austin these past few weeks so I was very disappointed that he didn’t get the role. I think he made such an impression on David Ian and Kathleen Marshall that you’ll see him in one of their Broadway productions some day soon.
The night started with the entire cast of contestants performing “We Go Together”. It was a pretty good performance, but all I wanted to do was to get to the results. From there we saw the finalists perform “You’re the One that I want”. A good performance, yes, but by this time I was getting a bit frustrated. From there we saw the eliminated contestants perform “Born to Hand Jive”. By this time I’m totally ticked because I want to see the elimination.
We finally find out that it’s Laura and Max destined to star on Broadway. At the very end of the show the remaining cast of Grease came on and performed. They seem to be pretty good and somewhat characteristic of what you would expect of Rizzo and the group.
If money was no object I’d be going to see Grease this summer on Broadway. I think it just might be successful with Laura and Max as the leads.
