Lee and Sean’s final tasks on The Apprentice
Tonight we saw the start of the final projects for Lee and Sean. Lee was going to run a fundraising event for the firefighter foundation sponsored by Dennis Leary – a hockey game with fundraising activities. Sean was going to run a charity concert with the Barenaked Ladies to benefit the World Wildlife Foundation.
Sean picked Andrea, Tarek and (surprise) Tammy to be on his team. Lee picked (big surprise) Lenny, Roxanne and Pepe to be on his team. Trump and Caroline didn’t even recognize Pepe or remember his name. At first it seemed as if Lee was in way over his head. The executive from the Leary foundation was completely unimpressed with him and his ideas. The executive from Pontiac mentioned that she thought he had a long way to come.
Sean, on the other hand, looked to be on track with his task. He did a tour and meeting with everyone involved in the project. Then the team broke into two to work on other projects. Tarek and Andrea went to meet with the executive from Pontiac while Sean, finalist for the position with Donald Trump went to meet with the caterer to pick the menu with Tammy. Tarek thought this was a mistake, that it should have been more important for him to meet with executives from the major sponsor and not make decisions on where he should spend his time because he wants to make the moves on Tammy.
Unfortunately Sean’s use of his time turns out to be the least of their problems. Right at the end of the show Andrea, distraught, goes to the other members of the team and tell them she’s been coughing up blood and was going to run out for an hour to see a doctor. Now I’m no MD but I know that coughing up blood is bad…very bad. There’s a very real chance she will be unable to complete the task. I wonder if Trump will let Sean replace her, but I’m pretty sure the answer would be no.
Lee is way over his head when he talks with Liz from the Leary Foundation again. She is really upset at how Lee is managing the project. Lee really hasn’t a clue, and his lack of experience in the business world is going to hurt him I’m sure. Lee’s position is that he has lots of other people to worry about, like the celebrities in the hockey game, the pre-party, etc. I haven’t been watching The Apprentice since the beginning but I have learned that while all the other stuff is important it’s very important to make sure your client is happy.
Next week’s finale is going to be fun. Both finalists look to be in deep s*&^%$#%^ right now. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Right now I’d have to say there isn’t one clear favorite. Sean has more real world experience but if he is down a person then Lee might win just based on having a fully staffed team.
