Leeza and Tony get kicked off Dancing With The Stars tonight
Let me begin my post by saying that an hour is way too long for the results show. I could have tuned in for the last 20 minutes and learned what I wanted to learn – that Leeza and Tony were booted from the show tonight.
Did I call it or what yesterday? As soon as they said that Big and Rich were going to be on the show and that there was a surprise guest you just knew it had to be Drew Lachey. I would have preferred to see him perform a bit more, or maybe have a “where is he now” segment rather than be subjected to Jimmy Kimmel’s asinine dance lesson. The pros who danced to “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” were great and I think Drew held his own with them when all five of the dancers performed together near the end. Big and Rich also performed their new song “Lost in this Moment” and Brian and Julianne performed a rumba to it. Julianne is really a talented dancer, and it is so hard to believe that she is so young. She did a great job last week performing with Tony as well.
Another somewhat surprise this evening was that Samantha Harris announced that she is pregnant. The funny thing is that I thought she looked a bit chubby last night in her black dress but I thought maybe it was just an unflattering cut for her body. Tonight when she gave us a profile view her baby bump was obvious. Congrats Samantha!
At the end of the evening the bottom two couples were John and Edyta and Leeza and Tony, with Leeza and Tony being kicked off the show. Leeza seems to be such a great person and she said the most kind things about Tony. I only hope I can look that good when I am 50 – hell, I’d love to look that good right now at my 30 something age!
I was kind of surprised that Clyde and Elena were not in the bottom two. His scores were so poor last night I thought for sure he was in danger. I think his basketball fans and the husbands of some of the wives watching this show are pulling for him. He seems to be a really likeable guy – I just hope he works a bit harder because he is a pleasure to watch in the show in his behind the scenes interviews.
Next week the stars will be dancing either the samba or the rumba. This should be interesting!
