Let the Dancing Begin
This year’s dancers for Dancing with the Stars are journalist Tucker Carson, actress Monique Coleman, country singer Sara Evans, pop star Willa Ford, actress Vivica A. Fox, actor Harry Hamlin, actor Joey Lawrence, actor Mario Lopez, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, NFL superstar Emmitt Smith, and talk show host Jerry Springer.
I have a few thoughts on tonight’s show. One, did Joey Lawrence trade his hair in on massive arm muscles or has he joined the WWE? Wow, he had some guns! His dancing was pretty good. Mario Lopez was great. I mean he just blew everyone away I think. But the real surprise of the night? Emmitt Smith! Who knew a football player could move so well! And Jerry Springer, who I expected to be a total joke, really wasn’t that bad. I expected Harry Hamlin to be better and I think the judges did too. He was just too stiff.
I think it is easier on the girls than the guys because the girls have the professional male dancers leading. I noticed with Joey especially, it looked like his female partner was leading, which I understand, but it still looked wrong.
The leaders as far as points for tonight were Mario Lopez (26), Emmitt Smith (24), and a tie between Vivica A. Fox and Willa Ford (both with 22). The bottom dancers were Tucker Carson (with a 12, bless his heart), Sara Evans (15), and Jerry Springer (16). I figure poor Tucker will be voted off tomorrow night, but you never know!
