Major Shakeup on Survivor: Fiji
With Moto living the life of luxury and Ravu on the brink of starvation, the show needed a shakeup. Boy, did it get one last night! Jeff asked a member from each tribe to step forward. Everyone seemed hesitant but finally Edgardo and Earl stepped forward. Jeff then announced that the tribes as they knew them were over – that they would be choosing new tribes, starting with Edgardo and Earl. Each person had to choose someone from the other tribe. Edgardo’s team consisted of Mookie, Alex, Rocky, Dreamz, and Anthony. Earl’s team consisted of Boo, Michelle, Cassandra, Yau-man, and Stacey. Lisi was the odd person out. She was sent to Exile Island, which she hated.
To determine who would live where, Edgardo and Earl had do a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Edgardo won, so he got to choose a buffs from a sack. If he chose green, they got Moto’s living arrangement. If he chose orange, they were going to Ravu’s dingy environment. He chose green, so the guys were off to Ravu’s camp. There, the all-guy team talked about how women on Survivor were trouble. Also in trouble was Anthony. While the “burly man team” as he put it went fishing, he stayed back to tend to the fire. He was left alone and felt alone. While fishing, the other members of Ravu talked about getting rid of Anthony next, if they lost the challenge.
The challenge was interesting – the team was tied together on poles and had to maneuver their way through bamboo poles and gates to a finish line. To make it more interesting, the teams would occasionally intersect along the pathway. Moto let Ravu have it the first couple of gates, but the 3rd and 4th were real struggles. As the race ended neck-n-neck, it was Moto that won, continuing their winning streak.
At the tribal council, I thought for sure Rocky had convinced everyone to send him home with his tough love statements to Anthony. But in the end, it was Anthony that was eliminated. When Lisi returns next week, she will join the testosterone fulled tribe of Ravu.
