Malan is kicked off Project Runway
The beginning of a new season of a reality TV show is both great and terrible. Great because I like the show and have been looking forward to watching it. Terrible because there are just too many people to keep straight. Tonight wasn’t too hard to keep the “villain” straight on Project Runway. All night long the show was focused on Angela and her lack of team work and skills. I think she would drive me nuts if I had to work with her. In the end the elimination was between Malan and Angela, and Malan was sent home. While the challenge was about both teamwork and design, design was the most important. Malan’s gown just wasn’t up to par.
Oh yeah, the challenge. The remaining 14 contestants split into teams of two to create a gown for the current Miss USA to wear in the evening gown portion of the Miss Universe pageant. (Donald Trump can’t help himself – I think he is becoming a reality TV show junkie as either a direct or indirect participant!) Some of the gowns were really beautiful. And the judging panel had a true expert on it this evening – Vera Wang. If anyone knows anything about formal gowns it’s Vera Wang.

I could not stand Vincent. He is anyone’s worst nightmare. Hell he reminds me of a boss my father would recount who one moment would be all smiles, the next bitching and hating the world. Vincent was a complete ass. Sure Angela was no easy person to deal with but doesn’t Vincent complete meltdown spell the fact that he wouldn’t (once again) make it? Figure this, replace Angela with an irate customer (who might be irate for irate’s sake or because of Vincent or because of both) and what is he going to do? Flip out and make that customer stand three feet away from him at all times? Make that customer leave and not pay attention to their input (despite the fact that would know more about their style/body type)? I’m sorry but his “you can’t work on this” berating on Angela (no wait Allison) probably is what put her off to begin with. Though I must say Angela annoyed me when she was offering her critique of Vincent’s work because you know that female sentiments of the board would have felt so sorry for Vincent and have carried him under their wings… she should have solely focused on what a horrible leader he was…
