Manhunters: Carlos Aguilar
Roxanne, a former SWAT officer, was deputized into the Manhunters task force and her first assignment was to try to find Carlos Aguilar, a guy accused of raping a 13 year old girl. She had actually been looking for him for a few years. The police had heard he left the country, but he showed up as working in Florida. Others had seen him in NY, so most of the task force went to Fort Lauderdale while Roxy stayed behind to talk to people in NY.
He wasn’t working the job anymore, but he had listed a house on the application, so the task force went there. The friend at the house claimed to know nothing, but after drug paraphernalia was found at the house, he suddenly remembered he knew a number for the girlfriend. They went to her house and he wasn’t there either, but they found a box of his fake IDs. They ran those and found another house address, so they went there to wait.
They waited outside the house for hours and hours before he finally showed up. They waited until he got in his car then trapped him in. He was found guilty of the rape and sent to prison for 5 years, then will be deported when he finishes his time.

So there is a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 YEARS for just soliciting a “fake” minor on the internet and you only get 5 years for raping an “actual” minor. Yeah, that’s real justice, only getting half the prison time when your victim was a real breathing human being as opposed to some fictitious, made up character.
