Manhunters: David Heavlow
One another new episode of “Manhunters,” the team was after David Heavlow. Heavlow was wanted fro parole violation and larceny. He had priors for attempted rape and robbery. Confidential informants told the team that Heavlow was in Yonkers. They went to the address, but the lady upstairs said the guy downstairs had just moved out about 20 minutes ago. She told them he had moved to Bronx Boulevard.
The team decided to stakeout the house to see if the guys returned, but also look on Bronx Boulevard for a moving van. That proved to be a false alarm, but they did find out that someone had seen him with a girl and they found an address for her in New Jersey. They staked out the house for a while, then, because there was a “For Sale” sign outside it, decided to send Eddie in with real estate agent. They found out that the top apartment was occupied and though Heavlow was there.
They finally moved in and she refused to open the door, so they broke it down and caught Heavlow. He hadn’t told her he was wanted for parole violation. Heavlow got 12 months for parole violation, but went to the state court and that was overturned. He pled guilty to petit larceny and served three months in prison.
