Manhunters - Fugitive Task Force on A&E
On December 9th at 10/9 pm C, A&E will premiere its newest unscripted reality show – Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force. This show will feature the good guys – the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force - as they hunt down the bad guys. A&E has been given the unprecedented right to follow these U.S. Marshals by the Department of Justice on this show as they ride with agents of the NY/NJ Division.
The task force was mandated by Congress following the September 11th attacks and is features the best of the best officers of multiple federal, state, and local agencies. Unrestricted by local boundaries with an ease to transcend juridical red tape, the Manhunters go after international fugitives such as the infamous DC Snipers as well as dangerous, violent felons of other heinous crimes. Based in New York City, these brave officers apprehend about 4,000 criminals a year, which averages out to about 10 a day.
