Manhunters: Lyndon Peterson
The Manhunters were looking for 15 year fugitive Lyndon Peterson. Peterson was convicted of possession with intent to sell in South Carolina, but fled when he was supposed to show up for jail. He was charged with failure to surrender, but the case went cold. Authorities in South Carolina got a tip that Peterson may be living in New York City.
They went to the apartment address they were given, but there was no sign of him. One of the Manhunters found an address for his ex-girlfriend, so Michy set off to see if she could find him. What she found was the woman, her daughter, and a man had been evicted two weeks earlier. She asked the landlord if the guy in the photo was Peterson. The photo was 15 years old, but the landlord said yeah, it was him, only now he didn’t have any hair.
The team found the address of the girlfriend’s parents and since she had a child and had been evicted, figured she might have gone home. Michy went in the house, but the boyfriend wasn’t there. The girlfriend wouldn’t tell her anything, but the parents, not knowing why the police were there, told Michy he was supposed to be by in an hour. After two false alarms, he came walking down the street. When the team jumped out of the cars, he ran, but they caught up with him. Peterson is now serving his original 43 month sentence for possession and is awaiting trial for his failure to surrender charge.
