Manhunters: Operation Clean Sweep
Each year, the Manhunters conduct Operation Falcon in which they clean up neighborhoods of small time criminals. This week’s episode focused on Roxy’s area of Spring Valley, NY. She put together Operation Clean Sweep, which would hopefully remove 65 criminals from the streets and make the town a safer place to live.
About 100 investigators met at 3:30 am to go over the objectives and begin the sweep. Vinny’s team was after Andrew Grisby, who was wanted for criminal possession of loaded firearms and sale of narcotics. He already had two firearms felonies, so the team had to be careful with this guy. Striking early paid off as they found Grisby at home and he admitted to having a shotgun in the house. He pled guilty to narcotics sales and weapons possession and was sentenced to 3 ½ years in the state prison.
Pep’s team was after Raquan Jordan, a 19 year old wanted for sale of a firearm to an undercover officer and sale of narcotics. They found him in the basement of his mother’s home, but he said he didn’t know anything about any guns. Looking outside, one of the officers found a box of marijuana and a handgun in a covered dresser. Raquan pled guilty to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance and was sentenced to six months in jail.
Lenny joined Roxy’s team, who was after Carlos Rodriguez for possession and sales of narcotics. Carlos wasn’t at home, but someone in the house told the team he might be at the diner he worked at. They found him there and Carlos pled guilty to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance and was sentenced to six months in jail.
With some officers still bringing in criminals, the team caught at least 54 of their 65 targets people.
