Manhunters: Samuel Flores
The Manhunters were chasing escaped convict Samuel Flores. Flores was to be sentenced on a burglary charge, but escaped while in custody. He had escaped twice before, so the team knew they had a real Houdini on their hands.
They found a girlfriend’s address, but when they went there, it turned out to be her sister’s house. The sister said Anna (the girlfriend) was in West New York City with the couple’s three year old daughter. She said she didn’t want to know if Anna was back with Sammy.
The team went to the address given for Anna, but there was no #86. They ended up finding Anna in the basement apartment, however Sammy was not there. Anna refused to tell them where she though he might be. The team did find out he had relatives in Texas, but they didn’t think he was there.
They checked the list of visitors Sammy had while in prison and found a ex-convict named Eduardo had visited him. They found an address for Eduardo, who said he gave Sammy $150. The team thought Sammy had used the $150 to get a bus ticket to Texas. Before they left to pursue him there, one detective said he had just talked to Anna on the phone and he thought he heard Sammy in the background. She said she was going shopping, so the team went to that area and located her car. They saw Sammy get out of the car to smoke a cigarette and apprehended him.
