Manhunters: Tyrone Mitchell
The Manhunters got some new equipment this week and everyone was glad to see it, although Mike didn’t seem thrilled with his camera while Michy got a hydro. The case this week was Tyrone Mitchell. Mitchell was doing time for a federal weapons violation and with only five weeks left, he escapes. He’s been gone for only two weeks. He is reportedly a member of the Bloods gang and the last time the authorities found him, he was in the closet with a loaded gun.
The team goes to his last known address. The team gets in, but it is Tyrone’s stepfather. The stepfather tells them about Mitchell’s girlfriend and that he may be staying there. They find the girlfriend’s address in Peekskill, 45 minutes north. Michy and Nick set out to find him. They only found Crystal’s grandmother. She told them Tyrone was not with her, but he was there a couple of weeks ago. The grandmother tried to keep him away from Crystal, but told the team he was in a white SUV. I loved that she had a hammer to crack him in the head if he came back!
Back to square one, Michy calls the Bureau of Prisons. They gave her names of people who visited Mitchell while he was in prison. She got six addresses – all in the Bronx, so the team set out to investigate them all. They spot a white SUV at one location and call in the license number, but it was clean. They check out two other addresses and find another white SUV parked between them. They call in the tag for this one and are told it belongs to one of the visitors.
They decide to hit both locations simultaneously since they don’t know which address he is at. Michy calls her location and tells them to open the door – they hang up. The guys knock on the door, but end up knocking down the door. Some woman tells them Tyrone is under the bed and the team gets him.
You gotta wonder why this guy couldn’t do his last five weeks. I mean FIVE WEEKS? So now he is back in prison, serving out the rest of his time.
