Melissa kicked off Hell’s Kitchen
Well I really can’t say I was surprised about Mellisa being eliminated from Hell’s Kitchen this evening. She was a talker but did nothing to back it up. Anyway, tonight opened up with the lobster challenge. Each member of the teams had to come up with a lobster dish. Because the blue team had an extra member, Josh was chosen to act in an advisory role with his team. He was not allowed to touch or taste any of the dishes but he was allowed to offer advice to his team. Here are what the teams cooked:
Blue Team
- Melissa – Citrus Herb Salad w/ Poached Lobster
- Rock – Buttermilk Fried Lobster Tail
- Brad – Lobster Bisque
Red Team
- Bonnie – Grilled Lobster Salad w/ Baked Apples
- Julia – Lobster Risotto
- Jen – Lobster Crab Bisque
The red team won the competition w/ Bonnie and Jen’s dishes. The red team was treated to a photo shoot at In Touch Magazine while the blue team was assigned the task of going through the garbage and separating the recyclables. Rock was very hot over this assignment. Almost every word out of his mouth had to be bleeped out. To add insult to the injury, he was told to head over to the photo shoot and when he arrived there Chef Ramsey asked him to take out the garbage and bring it back with him.
For the evening competition, the Red Team continued their success by working together and delivered all of their dishes to their customers. The Blue team again was just having a very rough time. In the defense of Melissa for as bad as she was the rest of her team was really not much better. In the end, the Blue team lost this competition and was asked to choose 2 members from their team for elimination.
When the teams got in front of Chef Ramsey he asked the blue team if the decision was hard. Without asking them who they choose, Melissa was asked to come forward where she was then eliminated. Next weeks competition will again be the men vs. women.
