Millionaire Matchmaker: First Gay Millionaire
The season finale of “Millionaire Matchmaker” featured its first gay millionaire. Patti proclaimed to love, love, love “the gays,” but her views seemed a little dated. The gay millionaire was Kevin, a branding company owner. The straight bachelor was Anthony, a Vegas hypnotherapist. Patti didn’t like his looks and his attitude seemed a bit raunchy. He gives his show participants orgasms on stage by holding their hand. Ew.
Patti went to meet Kevin and I know she did not ask him whether he liked to be on the top or bottom during sex. That threw him off. She told him of her no sex unless a relationship rule.
Patti suggested a makeover for Anthony including hair, teeth, and shoes. He said the hair was a signature. Patti told him to not take his date to his show because it was perverted and showy. She also told him to not hypnotize her on the date.
At the casting, Jorie and her huge breasts walked in the office. Patti told her to minimize them. She had some cute gay guys to choose from. At the mixer, the crowd tried to figure out who was gay. The girls thought Anthony was gay. He should have gotten the hair fixed like Patti said!
Anthony chose mini-dates with Brie (a comedian) and Lyndi and Kevin chose mini-dates with Randy (who Patti thought wasn’t gay) and Jared. Anthony chose Brie – those two were so cute together. Kevin was a bit indecisive, but finally chose Randy, although Jared was gorgeous!
Kevin flew Randy to his home in Kentucky. Randy knows how to balance work and life and that intrigued Kevin. They went to a distillery for their date. Afterwards, they were talking and Kevin asked Randy what his coming out was like and he said he really wasn’t. Oh honey, you’ve said it on television, you are out now! He finally looked at the camera and said “Mom and dad, I’m gay.” Those two made a cute couple and are still seeing each other.
Brie flew to Vegas and Anthony took her to a fake house to see if she wanted him for his money. He used the house for storage and she looked puzzled. He also told her he had a gambling problem as part of the test. But, once she “passed,” he took her to his real house and told her he had been testing her. She didn’t like that and when she told Patti about it, she didn’t like it either. He told Patti himself about the test, but she tore into him. Anthony and Brie never saw each other again.

I saw this the other day. I have to say that I was a bit offended by some of Patti’s assumptions about gay men & it was obviously clear that Kevin thought that she was being rather offensive by labeling him with various stereotypes about the gay community. He took it in stride, though & have to commend him for that. Anyone else would have b*tched Patti out for that. (Seriously, she automatically assumed that he was promiscuous because he was gay & that he would screw guys on the first date? I don’t know who her gay friends are, but obviously she’s never been around very many of them!)
The other guy seemed interesting but ended up being a total sleaze. I understand that he’s been used before, but wouldn’t that say something about the quality of women that he’s been dating? Obviously someone’s been picking out girls solely on looks rather than actually getting to know them. It isn’t that hard to find a girl in Vegas who is attractive AND isn’t a golddigger.

I thought it was pretty condescending how Patti kept referring to them as “The Gays” myself And Anthony just blew his chance with his “test.” She seemed really into him up to that point.
