Millionaire Matchmaker: Robby and Brendan
Patti’s two millionaires this episode were Robby, a roller skating dude who reminded me of Napoleon Dynomite and Brendan, who flew in from New Jersey for her services. Unlike other episodes where the guys got to choose from a group of women, Patti chose their dates. She counseled them on her Ten Commandments of dating, such as be attentive, don’t drink on the first date, etc. But, Robby didn’t seem to appreciate the help – he just wanted her to find the girl!
She chose Charlene for Brendan and Dawn for Robby. Brendan took Charlene to lunch, but she made faces over his culinary choices. She was afraid the shrimp wasn’t cooked and you could just tell the date was not going that well. On the other hand, Robby and Dawn were skating and laughing, having a great time. They went to dinner, then he asked her to attend his film premiere with her. His film was of him roller-skating across the country, visiting children’s hospitals. She agreed and he thanked her before the whole audience for being there with him. They made plans for a third date.
Patti figured that Brendan and Charlene might not hit it off, so she had a second date lined up with Carolyn, an actress. They took a helicopter ride, and then went to dinner. These two seemed like a perfect match.
Although Patti didn’t seem to care about Robby much, you could tell she was warming up to him a bit. That is, until he told her that he didn’t fixed up anymore. Maybe she was right about him being immature. In the end, Brendan and Carolyn decided to do the long distance dating thing as much as possible, while Robby, although no longer seeing Dawn, did finally decide to let Patti set him up with other girls again.
