Mission: Man Band
If you’re a fan of the 90s, you might find this show on VH1 very interesting. During the 90s the music that dominated the airwaves are not solo singers but boy bands. They are a group of three to five men coming together to create music, dance and croon the young girls into oblivion with their love songs and sexy dance moves. Unfortunately, the music business is not forever for this type of performance. Slowly, as the number of boy bands grew, the popularity of their music went down. Before we know it, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake are making waves closing the era of boy bands.
So where are they now? We really do not know each of their state but we’ll be given a glimpse of it this month. This month long show of VH1 will follow four former members of different boy bands. Chris Kirkpatrick of N*Sync, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, Rich Cronin of LFO and Bryan Abrams of Color me Badd will come together to create music and make it work in just one month. You’ll see the situation of some that have so much money from their success they’re just there to recapture fame while some have financial woes and grave medical conditions.
The group will be working with a very strict manager and Grammy award winning producer. It’s a challenge for them as they will go through and face their past demons and take on the challenge to overcome the stereotype of being a member of a boy band. The show already started in VH1 last August 6, 10PM eastern and the show might be running for only a month as originally planned.
