New Reality TV show: The Next Great American Band
If you love American Idol, then you might like the new show from the producers of American Idol, The Next Great American Band. Fox has mastered the art of finding the next great pop star, now they are throwing their hat into the ring to find the ultimate musical group.
Beginning on October 19, 2007 you can watch as judges John Rzeznik (from the Goo Goo Dolls), Sheila E. (percussionist and famous for songs like “The Glamorous Life”0 and Ian “Dicko” Dickson (host of the Australian version of American Idol) narrow down a field of hopefuls to ten bands. The bands will compete each week in front of a live studio audience, performing a variety of music, including original songs and covers. Three bands will compete in the finals for a recording contract with 19 Recordings and the title of “The Next Great American Band”.
It will be up to the fans at home to vote for their favorite bands. At the beginning of each show we’ll find out what band was eliminated based on the previous week’s competition.
