No Three-Peat for Cheryl on Dancing with the Stars
Well, her chances for a threepeat fell by the wayside tonight. Maurice and Cheryl were the ones eliminated from DWTS. This was no surprise to me; in addition to his hitting a plateau in his dancing, I somehow feel that the fan base for track stars, even two-time Olympic gold medalists is not that large. No tears, no whining just smiles and kind words for everybody concerned – way to go Maurice!
Once again we have a rehash of the rehash, come on ABC, give us a break. The judges wanted to see Warren and Kym dance their “James Bond” style tango again, and I still can’t get over how light he is on his feet.
For guest vocalist Brad Paisley’s song, Lacey and her brother Benjy did some kind of honky-tonk jive. No wonder she works so well with Lance, her brother is the same type of kook, only one who dances better!
“Great Balls of Fire!” – what a performance from Julianne (healthy again) and Derek to the rock and roll legendary song! This was the Macy’s Stars of Dance winning entry, and they jived on a piano with costumes that included the piano keys! This, my friends, is jive the way it should be done!
Time filler—–Dr. Drew, isn’t he the one from Celebrity Rehab or something or other—analyzed the celebs and their partners and their relationships! Boo Hoo.
Brad Paisley had his next number performed by some of the DWTS touring pros. Another blatant promo! Blatant or not, this is why I suffer through some of the stupidity put in front of us during the results show. Maks did the choreography, short hair and all. Seems he is doing the choreography for the touring show (where is Louis?) He told the audience that Toni Braxton will be joining the show, not only dancing, but singing also. Way to go!
They’re down to four, now the real fun begins!
