Now it’s Blake’s Turn
The runner up of American Idol 6
finally lands a record deal with Arista Records. Owned by “Idol” creator Simon Fuller, Arista Records will give life to the songs of Blake and will release the CD later this year. Although Blake only lands as a runner-up against Sparks, he’s set to bring the “Idol” music to the next level. No one has had this talent of beat boxing to the “Idol” world and everybody seemed to acknowledge and write it. According to Fuller, “Blake is one of the most unique `Idol’ contestants I’ve ever seen…He brought something new to the competition and won fans all over America. I know they’re going to love his first album …”
This 26 year old singer, from Bothell, Washington was able to perfectly combine the beat boxing with his singing. What made him stand out during the competition was his rendition of the Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name.” He sealed his fate with the votes when he successfully mixed his beat boxing skills with this song. Even the Bon Jovi
doubted it but somehow, the artist rode through the critics and became one the most competent singers in the competition.
This year, he’ll be giving more tune and more beat boxing to his album. You just got to love his originality and risk taking to his music. Even though you’ll be irked by this risk taking sometimes, we’ll be thrilled that he’ll try out his beat boxing in original music. If ever he’ll get his hands again in to revive a song, a disco mix is at hand.
Currently “American Idol 7”
auditions are on the road of getting the new set of contestants for this record breaking, reality-show, singing competition. The show will start on FOX next year.
