Oh, How the Mightly Have Fallen!
The judges seemed a bit pissy tonight. The dances were the Tango and the Jive and it seems they spent most of the night telling dancers they broke the dance rules. I wasn’t aware there are rules for certain dances, but apparently there are!
Emmitt, Mario, and Joey – who seemed to be judge favorites – all had bad, bad nights. Emmitt’s was the worst, getting the lowest score at 19. But at least he didn’t get chewed out like Mario and Joey. Both Mario and Joey scored 22’s but were basically told they would have gotten 10’s if they hadn’t broken the rules. Monique and Vivica shined tonight – tying for the highest score at 27. Everyone else fell somewhere in the middle with Harry getting a 22, Willa getting a lower score than usual with a 22, Jerry’s score going up a bit with a 21, and Sara garnering a 25.
Who will be on the bottom next week? Hard to say. I think the fans will rally behind Emmitt, Mario, and Joey in part for past performances and in part because they disagree with the judges low scores. Poor Willa pleaded her case again for votes, but somehow I see her back at the bottom again. In fact, she may be the one to go this week. But, Harry might be the one to leave. After a good showing last week, this week, he appeared stiff again. I don’t see Jerry going anywhere – he still has too many fans, as do Monique and Vivica. Sara may return to the bottom, but like the judges said, she is starting to shine.
