Project Runway: Epperson Goes Home
The “Project Runway” challenge this week was for the designers to redo some divorcees wedding dresses. None of the designers were happy about this challenge and they got a budget of only $25 and could only buy 2 yards of material. Epperson actually designed his dress using the least amount of fabric before learning from Tim that that wasn’t what it was all about.
Having to change his design in mid-stream may have messed him up. My favorites were Carol Hannah and Althea, but they, along with Nicolas (who hated his dress) were told they were safe.
The favorites were Gordana (who really stepped up to the plate – finally!), Irina (who had immunity anyhow), and Shirin. Poor Shirin was really worried – she got to choose last, had very little fabric to work with, and her divorcee wanted a Cher half-breed looks. Yikes! At least Shirin stayed true to herself, which Michael said was smart, and stitched the very plain fabric. Gordana was named the winner with a dress Michael Kors called “edgy and chic.”
The bottom three were Epperson (Heidi said it looked like an Oktoberfest dress), Logan (which again reminded the judges of Oktoberfest), and Chris (whose model looked like she was in plastic wrap). It came down to the two Oktoberfest dresses and perhaps because Epperson used the excuse of not understanding the challenge, he was sent home.
