Project Runway: Keith is Eliminated
This week on Project Runway, the challenge was interesting. The designers had to use car parts to make an outfit. The designers hurried to gather up stuff like air filters, seat belts, headlights, etc. Kenley had a monkey wrench thrown in her plan as her model had to quit, but she recovered well with the new model. There was trash talk – Jerrel talked about Terry and Blaine talked about Keith. But Keith was just freaked out from being in the bottom two last week and that proved to be his downfall this week.
Nina was gone, so replacing her was Season 3 finalist Laura Bennett. The guest judge was stylist and fashion editor Rachel Zoe.
After showing their designs, Joe, Terry, Suede, and Kenley were told they were safe. To me, Joe’s was motor cross look was just okay. I liked Suede’s even though it looked like Keith had made the skirt (it looked shredded). Terry’s top was cute, kind of bikery and I loved Kenley’s air filter skirt.
Now for the good and the bad. The good were Jerrel (loved his futuristic look), Korto (how can you make seatbelts look glamourous? Weave them!), and Leanne (that dress was just flawlessly beautiful). The bad were Blaine (although I went “Wow” when she came out, the judges didn’t like the way the top part fit her), Stella (who stepped outside her comfort zone to try to make a ladylike skirt – didn’t work), and Keith (the outfit was just blah). Leanne was named the winner and rightfully so, so she is immune next week.
Blaine was told he could leave the runway and it was down to Stella and Keith. As Michael said, Keith blamed the model for sitting down and tearing the skirt (she was having her hair done!) and the judges for harshly critiquing his molten chicken dress last week. After getting smart with Michael like that, he should have known he was leaving.

Keith had such an attitude this week. I couldn’t believe how poorly he spoke of his model – he spoke of her as if she was just a commodity. From the beginning he was very impressed with himself and his talents yet he only one the one challenge – and in that case I thought the judges were wrong and Jerell and Stella should have been the winning team. I’m not sorry he’s gone because I’m not going to miss his ripped and fringy outfits.
