Project Runway: Mitchell is Eliminated
It was only a matter of time until “Project Runway” contestant Mitchell was sent home. I knew it was bad when the contestants were told they were going to do a beach wear challenge in teams. There was the leader and the assistant and Mitchell was chosen a leader. He chose Ra’mon to “carry me through the challenge.” Irina was chosen last and I don’t know why – I have loved all her outfits so far.
Tim threw in a twist that the contestants also had to come up with an avant-guard look for the challenge as well. At least they went back to Mood for more material.
Qristyl chose Epperson, but all they did the whole time was fight. They even started arguing in front of the judges! She was not forceful enough to tell him “Look dude, I am the leader” and it showed. Mitchell allowed Ra’mon to do everything and after Tim was frightened by their jumpsuit, Ra’mon had to scramble to get outfits ready.
However, his avant-guard dress was beautiful, absolutely beautiful! In fact, he and Mitchell, along with Irina and Johnny, scored the highest. But, when the judges starting talking to Mitchell about what he did, he told them he did the swimsuit, but you couldn’t see it. The judges realized he did nothing! They loved the outfits so much that they named Ra’mon, who was supposed to be the assistant, the winner. He was absolutely stunned.
Those with the lowest scores were Nicolas and Gordana (the judges liked one outfit, but not the avant-guard look) and Qristyl and Epperson. Judge Max Azria told Qristyl that if she could not be a team player, she couldn’t be a designer.
Epperson, Nicolas, and Irina were told they were safe. It was between Qristyl and Mitchell. Heidi told him last week he had barely snuck by last week and this week, she told him three strikes and he was out. He finally realized he should have done more.
