Project Runway – the Real Finale!
Tonight we got to find out the results of the allegations that Jeffrey had outside help. Tim said they thoroughly went through the receipts and there was no receipts for the pleating, so he would have to remove the shorts. But, everything else checked out. The only other problem was Jeffrey went over his budget by $227.50 and needed to cut something from his collection of his choosing. He decided to eliminate the wigs he brought for the models. Jeffrey, needless to say, was overwhelmed. I think Uli was angry with Laura, telling her that she could be happy, she made Jeffrey cry.
As for the collections, I liked Uli’s best. Like Heidi, I would wear Uli’s dresses. They were cute, young, and funky. I was disappointed with Michael’s stuff. Why were the first three outfits all white? And he kept using the neckline with the laces. I just didn’t like it with the exception of the last dress. Laura’s was nice, but boring for the most part. Jeffrey’s was edgy. Some of it I loved and some of it I hated.
The judges got together (creator of Olympus Fashion Week Fern Mallis was the special guest judge) and agreed on a winner. They dismissed Michael first. Fern said she was disappointed in his collection, even though he was the crowd favorite. Laura was dismissed next. It came down to Uli and Jeffrey. I heard nothing but great comments about Uli’s collection, so I expected her to win, but Jeffrey was announced as the winner. Guess going over the budget didn’t matter that much. I bet Laura was burning over that one! Anyhow, the judges did say they felt all final four designers would have great careers in the fashion industry.
