Real World Hollywood: Joey’s Tearful Goodbye

Well, what should be the true story of seven strangers is now just the true story of five friends. Joey left the Real World House this week and who could blame him? Until he read his heartbreaking letter, talking about how he had done cocaine the night he freaked out, none of the other roommates really understood. I know Brianna was excited about her solo with Alex Band (who used to be with The Calling), but she honestly didn’t know when Joey was leaving? She missed saying goodbye to him. And was it just me or was there a small turnout for her solo? It was a benefit for Donate Life at the Hard Rock – I would have thought there would have been more people there. Well, maybe this will give her the kick in the butt she needed. She sang on the corner of Hollywood and Highland, but why did it always show her singing the National Anthem?

It was nice that Will and Dave took Joey out the last night to the strip club. They even all drank water! Joey plans to do a year of rehab when he gets back to Chicago. It is a little sad to see him give up on his dream of being an actor, but I can honestly see him becoming a rehab counselor if he manages to stay sober.

Next week, we get to meet a new roommate – Brittani.

hey i was just watching Realworld, it was the episode where everyone went out and Joey stayed all by himself. all i can say is that if that were me living with this awesome young man i would have stayed with him without any hesitation and it really surprised me when they all decided to go, my heart sank for him. As the younger sister of a recovering alcoholic, i can honestly say that i am sooo proud of my sister for becoming who she is today. it took awhile for her to finally stop drinking completely and its not an easy thing to do by any means. We have been through hell and back many times with her and i have seen way to much of what alcohol does to a human and its seriously retarded. if only more ppl knew what it does internally as well. Just because you cant see it, doesnt mean everything is perfect on the inside. i think its a good thing that he left. you cannot surround yourself with ppl like that. and it will be a tough ride to go on and not the greatest of adventures but it will be soooo worth it Joey, hang in there and be safe and as much as i dont know you i care alot about you because i can honesly see what an amazing man you really truly are and you really do want to help yourself. There is sooo much more out there than parties and alcohol and its ok to drink once in awhile but to make it an every day or even an ever weekend thing is pretty scary. I love you lots Joey, please hang in there. you can do it buddy !! ch’taime xox oxo
