Real World Hollywood: Joey Leaves for Rehab
Well, if you have a drinking problem and you only have four months sober, going to the Real World house is probably not the best plan, as it proved for Joey this week. He freaked out – scaring the girls and even Dave. He got super drunk, drinking everything in sight, and then started banging his head against the door, hit himself in the face, etc. He said he wanted out of the house and finally called the producers. They talked him into going to rehab for 30 days. I hope he can get his problems under control – this kid is adorable when sober, but one hot mess when he is drunk. From his outbursts, the problems seem to run deeper than just alcohol abuse – he feels alone, like no one cares about him. The producers told him after rehab, he could come back to the house if he wanted.
This episode also dealt with Brianna and her legal woes. She chose Will to go with her to Philly to court. Maybe that set Joey off, maybe it didn’t, but she thought it did. Will kept her from dressing like a stripper to go to court. And, speaking of stripping – was that a double wide she was working in? Will called it a hole in the wall and I think that was too much of a compliment. She saw her ex, Bobby, and is still in love with him, even though her mom tells her to drop him. Bobby dropped the charges, but Brianna still has to go back to court. I guess not that Joey is gone, Brianna can fill in the “messed up roommate” shoes.
