Real World: Jasmine Spirals Downward
This week’s “Real World” dealt with the good, the bad, and the ugly. Okay, maybe the only ugly was behavior from Jasmine.
The good was the roommates had to work for the DIF charity, which houses underprivileged children. Jonna, Emilee, and Derek were all adopted, so it hit close to home for them. They sold Mardi Gras beads to raise $11,000 for DIF. They bought necessary items like shoes, but also got the kids a lot of toys, so they would have something to play with.
Jasmine is still hung up on Pat and acting out when he ignores her. Emilee got a shipment of adderall from home and when Jasmine was in a drunken stupor, she attacked Emilee for telling her to quit drinking. She told Emilee to go pop some more of her adderall. She continued to drink then called Pat. He told her to sleep it off, but she insisted on meeting him in the lobby. He met her, told her she was taking things too personally, and again told her to sleep it off.
Jasmine woke up early the next morning and started getting ready for work without waking anyone else up. Yes, it was a bit rude, but it wasn’t like she left 45 minutes before they got up. Since she took the bus and everyone else took a cab, she actually arrived 20 minutes later. They all got in trouble for being late and Christina said she would sent the whole group home if this continued.
This week, Par and Jonna got closer. Jonna had dinner with him and planned to find out how he felt about Jasmine, but she spent too much time talking to him and feeding him. Then, she did it in front of Jasmine at dinner. Jasmine got drunk again and hit at Derek and pounded on the beds. She finally called home and realized she has a drinking problem and needed to quit.
