Reality News: MTV Offers Bisexual Reality Dating Show “A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila”
MTV has decided to follow sister station VH1 into the reality dating arena, but with a twist. On October 9th, “A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila” will debut on MTV, making it the first bisexual reality dating show. The show will feature Tila, who has over 1.7 million MySpace friends, as she meets 32 suitors – 16 straight men and 16 gay women. The contestants will live together and compete a la Flavor of Love for Tila’s love and affection.
The star of the show, Tila Tequila, is a bisexual model that already has a little experience with reality television. She was a contestant on the VH1 reality special “Surviving Nugent” in which city slickers had to compete in outdoor activities and survival challenges. She also appeared on the NBC game show “Identity” earlier this year.
I don’t know about you, but I loved Flavor of Love. I even watched Flavor of Love 2 and might even watch Flavor of Love 3. I tuned in to most of the episodes of I Love New York, which will be back for a second season. I was disillusioned at the ending of Age of Love. I thought I might watch Rock of Love with Brett Michaels, but honestly, I am worn out with this competing for the love of someone format.
