Reality News: Scott Baio’s Payback; Survivor’s Earl Cole Buys a House; AI’s Sanjaya Makes a Move
Call it karma biting back, but Scott Baio, star of “Scott Baio is 45…and Single” has just found out that he and his pregnant fiancé, former Playboy model Renee Sloane are having a girl. He had hoped for a boy (I wonder why!), but he just told People magazine that they found out they are indeed having a baby girl. Baio went on to say, “It’s just like that great Rolling Stones song, you don’t get what you want, you get what you need. I needed to have a girl. It may be cosmic payback a little bit, but it needed to happen.” The couple is expecting the baby girl to arrive in December. Scott’s show has been renewed for a second season, so expect him to be dealing with parenthood!
And speaking of karma, it seems that Earl Cole wants to reward the very island on which he became the Survivor champion. The million-dollar winner has decided to purchase a house in Fiji. The Fiji Times is reporting that Cole, 35, is planning to buy a house along the Coral Coast. However, Cole will not be living there. The advertising exec will open the home to his mother, so she can live in “God’s country” full time.
Another reality star looking for a new home is America Idol’s Sanjaya Malakar. He and his family are planning to move to Hollywood at the end of the AI summer tour in September. Mom Jill told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that the family felt they needed to be in Hollywood to be closer to the heart of the music industry.
