Reality News: Survivor Curse?
In an interview with USA Today on Monday, Survivor host Jeff Probst hinted that another contestant would leave without being voted out. In a season that has already seen Jonny Fairplay ask to be voted out because he missed his wife and unborn child, Kathleen Sleckman break down and ask to leave, Chet Welch ask to be voted out due to coral in his foot, and Jonathan Penner medically evacuated due to a serious puncture wound, who could be the next Survivor to leave?
Looks like it may be my personal favorite, James Clement. Last week, we saw that James had a cut on his finger that looked pretty nasty. After Jason was eliminated at tribal council, Jeff told James he wanted that finger to be looked at by medical.
Jeff told USA Today “it’s been a crazy season, and it’s not over. We’re not done having people have to leave the game for reasons other than being voted out.” If James is evacuated, he would be the fifth person to leave the show for medical reasons. In addition to Penner this season, Australian Outback survivor Michael was evacuated for severe burns, Panama survivor Bruce was evacuated due to stomach pain and constipation, and Fiji survivor Papa Smurf was evacuated due to an allergic reaction to bug bites.
