Reality News: The Final Total Request Live Airs November 16th on MTV
Total Request Live has been a staple of MTV for the past ten years. There have been more than 2,200 shows, which featured iconic moments and videos that helped propel the careers of Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Beyonce, the Backstreet Boys, Diddy, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, and Limp Biskit among others. But, the show is ending this year.
The Total Live Finale will appear on MTV on November 16th at 8 pm ET and it will be a blowout you won’t want to miss. Original host Carson Daly will join current host Damien Fahey in a show that will feature guest appearances by performers and movie stars while they take a look back at the past 10 years.
Dave Sirulnick, the MTV Executive Vice President of News and Production said “One of the aspects we’re most proud of is TRL’s impact on pop culture, whether it was through exposing hundreds of artists to fans on a daily basis or foreshadowing what goes on in today’s online communities.”
Look for appearances by Beyonce, 50 Cent, the Backstreet Boys, the Fall Out Boys, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Ludacris, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Benji and Joel Madden (of Good Charlotte), Fred Durst (of Limp Biskit),and Jonathan Davis (of Korn). Past VJs Lyndsey Rodrigues, Vanessa Minnillo, Dave Holmes, Jesse Camp, Hilarie Burton, La La Vasquez and Quddus will also return for the finale.
