Reality News: Tune into the 2008 VMAs to see Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and More!
On its 25th anniversary, the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards is gearing up with an exciting lineup of stars. After the recent announcement that Britney Spears will open the show again this year, MTV has announced that Kanye West, who promised last year that he would never return, will be closing the show. Christina Aguilera will perform a special rendition of “Genie in a Bottle,” one of her first big hits.
Also scheduled to perform on September 7th at 9 pm ET at the VMAs is Rihanna with T.I., the Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry (singing Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”), Pink, Paramore, Lil Wayne, and Kid Rock. Presenters include Jaime Foxx, Miley Cyrus, Chace Crawford from “Gossip Girls,” Michael Phelps, Ashlee Simpson, John Legend, Kobe Bryant, Leona Lewis, Paris Hilton, Slash, Taylor Swift, Shia LaBeouf, Lindsay Lohan, Scarlett Johansson, Ciara, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Christopher “McLovin” Mintz-Plasse, and Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt from “The Hills.”
