Ryan is not The Biggest Loser
The week began with a trip to Las Vegas for the contestants. They stayed at the Aladdin on the Vegas Strip. It was Matt’s birthday, so of course there was birthday cake. Matt ate only a little bit of it, while everyone else said “no, thanks” to cake
. The temptation this week came in the High Stakes room. The contestants were given the chance to gamble by picking a card from a deck that had a dollar amount on it. You won the amount of money that was on the face of the card. However, this came with a price – those who participated in the game would give up the right to work with their trainer before the next weigh in. Shannon, Jen, Suzanne, Seth and Mark all decided to give it a shot. Bob was miffed that his team decided to take such a risky gamble, while Jillian was outright angry, yelling at the guys for being stupid.
The men won the challenge this week and that means they get to return to Las Vegas at a time in the future. There were bars of gold stacked in piles in a pool. Each pile had the name of one of the contestants and consisted of the weight they weigh right now. Each person had to swim to the pile and carry the bars to the edge of the pool. Back at the ranch, Matt helped out both the men and the women who gave into the temptation by becoming their “personal trainer” until the weigh in. The women were upset that those able to be trained by Bob were not helping them out. Tempers and tensions flared, which Bob did try to settle down.
The women lost the weigh in. There was a tie between Ryan and Shannon for who would get voted off, which means the men got to choose anyone they wanted to kick off the show. They chose Ryan, because she was a lighter girl and also because in their opinion she was the source of tension and controversy in the house.
