Sabrina Bryan
This year, Sabrina Bryan will join the cast of “Dancing with the Stars.” At age 23, she may have a bit of an youthful advantage over some of the other contestants such as Jane Seymour (age 56) and Wayne Newton (age 65). Sabrina is best known as being part of the girl group, The Cheetah Girls, whose movies air on the Disney Channel.
Sabrina was born Reba Sabrina Hinojos in Yorba Linda, California in 1984. From the age of seven, she was interested in acting, dancing, and singing. She took vocal classes and learned ballet and tap. She was a member of the song team for all four years of high school. Sabrina attended Chapman University where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.
Her first acting job was when she starred as Fritzie along side Angela Lansbury in the 1996 television movie “Mrs. Santa Claus.” After that, she appeared on an episode of “Drive Me Crazy,” “The Gina Davis Show,” and “Grounded for Life.” In 2002, she appeared as Alisa Cordova in seven episodes of the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
She was chosen to play Dorinda in the movie The Cheetah Girls along with Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Raven Symone. The movie was so successful, The Cheetah Girls 2 was released in 2006 and The Cheetah Girls 3: Indian Adventure! will be released in 2008. Their first album was released in 2003 and the single Cinderella reached #1 on the Radio Disney chart. In November 2005, the group released a Christmas album titled Cheetah-licious Christmas. They had a song on the Chicken Little soundtrack and they have been featured on DisneyMania 3, DisneyMania 4, and DisneyMania 5. Their next album, TCG, is said to be slated for release on September 25, 2007.
Sabrina released a fitness/dance DVD called BYOU. She sings several tracks on the DVD and she has said she was proud to have released a DVD that could help kids “get healthy and have fun at the same time.” Sabrina is working on a second DVD titled BYou2, which will be released in the spring of 2008. She is also working on a fiction book for young adults titled “Princess of Gossip.”
Now she can include competing against other celebrities on “Dancing with the Stars” to her already busy agenda!
