Sandee cooked nothing the night before... she grilled the pancetta, the dates, etc... and used a stone dish on the grill to poach the lobster.... on the day of the "upscale BBQ". I would think living and working in Miami, she would have known what "upscale BBQ" means. Two hours to setup and cook for 60 "prominent guests" would lead anyone to think it was not to be a slow cooked, sauce covered hunk of meat with corn of the cob and potato salad... TopChef is getting a ton of negative remarks regarding the "Upscale BBQ" and the elimination choice... You are so right about something different this year....could be they need more drama for better ratings. If that is their direction, this will truly become a REALITY Show for ....and less focus on cooking. The edits in are all about "drama".... they started it in the promos. It would be great to see the out edits. Now that would be a show to watch and probably get great ratings. MHO of course. Please get your facts right….
