Shannon is not The Biggest Loser

We’re just a few episodes away from the finale of The Biggest Loser and the competition is heating up.  When the show began tonight there were only 6 contestants left – 3 men and 3 women.  Yet again the game has changed – no more duos, it’s every contestant for themselves.  The way the competition will work is that the two people who have lost the lowest percentage for the week will go “below the yellow line” and will be up for elimination.  As in the past few weeks, the winner of the challenge will get immunity. This week’s temptation was a fun one – the trainers set up dunk tanks, and for the price of a mere 10 calorie piece of candy the contestants could take a shot at dunking Bob or Jillian.  Matt counted out his “extra” calories for the day and determined he could take 13 shots at the trainers! A surprising turn of events this week was Matt asking Suzy to cut his hair.  He thought that perhaps he was hiding behind the long curls and it was time for a change.  And what a change it was!  Matt looked stunning without all that hair.  In the words of the female contestants “he’s hot”!

This week’s challenge was a super sized jump rope competition (“The Ultimate Jump Rope”).  The contestants stood on a platform and the metal bar swung like a jump rope.  They had to jump over their bar without breaking it.  The last person with an unbroken bar won.  The contest came down to Matt and Seth, and Matt ultimately won the challenge and immunity. Matt decided to strategize by putting on weight this week.  I guess his thinking is to not lose too much weight while he had immunity, saving the weight loss for the week when he did not.  However, he ended up packing on 12 pounds.  By the looks of the preview for next week this could play a major role in the competition. This week’s elimination came down to Andrea and Shannon, and Shannon was ultimately voted off the show 3 votes to 1.  When we took a look at how Shannon was doing today, she now weights 170 pounds, having lost 87 pounds since she first came to the ranch.
