Shy Blakeman Eliminated from Nashville Star
I have to say that I really expected Shy to be eliminated from last night’s show. Last night I started to realize that when it comes to the public voting, having a great voice is not the only thing that will carry a potential star. Looks and stage performance with more of an emphasis on looks is what is going to carry these folks. Shy just did not look like a country star to me. With the departure of Shy, the following contestants remain:
- Casey Rivers
- Melanie Torres
- Matt Mason
- Jewels Hanson
- Chris Young
- Monique Le Compte
- Nicole Jamrose
- Kristen McNamara
- Jared Ashley
My prediction is that Monique will be the next one to go. To me, she just does not seem country and I really find her boring. My favorite at this time is Melanie Torres. Yes I know, she is hot, but she does have a great voice and fits the country look to me. I had a nice laugh while watching Kristen McNamara perform. My wife walked in the room and said “what is up with her clothes”. Then after her performance Anastasia suggested that she would return, but her clothing shouldn’t.
Is it me, but is anyone else having the same problem with the choice of “Guest Judge”? Now, Larry the Cable Guy is very funny, but a judge, I think not.
