Simon gets his wish
Tonight was the voting results night and each one gets tougher. I didn’t really care as much who left when there were more contestants. Now, I am so used to seeing all these people and it is going to be a little sad, no matter who leaves. Last night, Ryan divided the remaining contestants into two groups, one being the bottom three. The groups were Elliott, Kellie, and Katharine then Chris, Paris, and Ace. I was surprised to see Chris and Katharine in two different groups as I was sure they were both safe.
Still, everything was fine and dandy until I realized Taylor was sitting alone on the sofa! By the time I began to panic, Ryan had told him he was safe. He then asked Taylor to stand next to the group he thought was safe. This seemed unfair, essentially asking Taylor to pick a side, but in true Taylor fashion, it worked out fine. He walked over, shook Chris’ hand and as Ryan started to say he picked the wrong group, he walked over to Katharine’s group. Ryan finished his “I’m sorry Taylor, you’re…” with “with the safe group.” I was not surprised to see Ace or Paris in the bottom three, but Chris? Ryan announced Paris was safe, making Chris one of the bottom two finalists. Of course, it was Ace who went home last night. I have wanted him to leave, but I still felt bad for him. Especially with Simon saying for two weeks in a row now that Ace was the one who should be going home. Cut to the obligatory shot of Paris crying and another week of Idol ended.
Next week is down to six. I am ready for Kellie’s country bumpkin self to leave, I am okay with Paris leaving and even Chris could leave for all I care, but it will be hard for me to choose between Katharine, Elliot, and Taylor.
