Simon making them sweat
There was a lot of drama on tonight’s American Idol, but that’s nothing new. Derrell, thinking Terrell has been cut, voluntarily quit after he was told he would be moving on to the next round. Mr. and Mr. Diva, uh, Brittenum had to return to the stage and apologize for the misunderstanding and beg to stay. Simon made them sweat it out for 30 minutes, telling them he was tired of their “hissy fits,” but eventually decided they could stay. Tyra switched groups then switched back, only to be cut in the end anyhow as were all the TryHards. Apparently, they didn’t try hard enough! Unfortunately for the Cowboys, Simon had no problem quitting them as he sent them all packing. Brenna did pull a smile out of him when she told him “I’m the Simon of the group” when the other members said there had been personality differences. 44 made it tonight – tomorrow night on American Idol, 20 contestants will be going home as well.
