So You Think You Can Dance: Caitlyn and Phillip Miss Making the Top 10
It was a tough week on “So You Think You Can Dance.” It was the last week for the couple partnerships that had been formed and the two dancers leaving tonight would miss out on making the Top 10. We learned that Nigel, who turned 60 today, wanted the show to do a Michael Jackson tribute, but someone (Sony or the family) wouldn’t approve the use of the music for the show, so that got axed.
We learned the bottom three couples were Jason and Caitlyn, Phillip and Jeanine, and Ade and Melissa. I hated to see Ade and Melissa there. Well, actually, I hated to see any of the couples there. I think Phillip and Jeanine got a bit shorted with the Russian folk dance that fell flat, but I loved their jive.
It seemed rather cold that Nigel called Caitlyn forward first and rather abruptly told her she was leaving. No suspense there! Phillip too was called forward first and told he was leaving. But, Nigel did follow it up with good news. He cleared it with everyone and they will be joining the tour, so that is good news.
