So You Think You Can Dance: Gev and Kherington Leave
There was a lot of filler time tonight on So You Think You Can Dance, but I guess that is how it is once it narrows down to the final 10. Perhaps one day reality shows will realize that as they narrow down the field, it is okay to cut the show time – especially on results night! We saw a group routine, a girl’s routine (choreographed by Mia Michaels) and a guy’s routine (choreographed by a “surprise choreographer” which turned out to be none other than Nigel!).
The judges had nothing but praise for the dancers at the bottom. For the girls, it was Kherington and Comfort and for the guys, it was Mark and Gev. I can still see poor Kherington missing that twirl on the two-step routine, but I had no idea she would go home before Comfort did. I honestly wonder what choice the judges would have made, had it been their choice this week.
Dear, dear, dear Gev – I am sorry I said I was secretly rooting for you in the last blog – apparently, that was the kiss of death. I loved his backwards handstand in his solo, but by then, it was too late – America had spoken. I am batting zero this week as I thought that maybe it would be Comfort and Mark going home.
