So You Think You Can Dance: Jason and Jeanette Leave
Tonight was the 100th episode of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Nigel said Olivia Newton John called him last night about Tyce’s breast cancer routine danced by Ade and Melissa. It was a very touching routine.
The show took a look back at auditions, both good and bad. Of course, not audition flashbacks would be complete without Sex, would they?
The bottom two girls were Jeanette and Kayla. I was happy Melissa, my remaining favorite girl, was safe. The bottom two guys were Jason and Brandon. Both my favorite guys, Ade and Evan, were safe.
We saw some favorite routines from the past (The Hummingbird and the Flower with Hok and Jaime and The Bench with Travis and Heidi), and a routine that included Travis, Benji, Dimitry, Heidi, Martha, Alison and some more names I didn’t catch.
After a routine by Katie Holmes for the Dizzy Feet Foundation, we found out that Jason and Jeanette were leaving. I was a bit surprised by Jeanette and Nigel admitted that she was his favorite to win and her elimination and ruined the celebration a bit for him.

I have not always agreed with the results of this show or others of the genre, however with the loss of Jeanette, So You Think You can Dance lost a contestant that was far and away better than any other from ANY season. This was absolutely disgusting and shows why these popularity contests are ridiculous. The overly emotional routine about breast cancer likely played a role, which it should not have as neither of these dancers are even close to Jeanette’s caliber.
This show should have some sort of “save” as Idol now has. As well the judges in part sealed Jeanette’s fate by becoming overly emotional about the admittedly moving, but overly rated breast Cancer dance routine; this is a show about dance, not breast cancer (sorry if this seems cold, but hey our family has had issues that everyone turned their back on resulting in my daughter being harmed for life,; why not have a dance for Children’s Services corruption abuse awareness?)
What is sad is that this was the one season that both I and my family were really excited about this show, now we are done watching FOREVER.
Good riddance So You Think You Can Dance!!!!
