So You Think You Can Dance: Jesus and Jessi Eliminated

Tonight’s “So You Think You Can Dance” was a bit odd. Jessi was unable to perform last night, because she couldn’t breath. She was sent to the hospital and ordered to rest, so Pasha danced with the choreographer. The doctors did clear Jessi to dance tonight and she said she was dehydrated and her EKG was off, but then stopped and thanked everyone. She said Pasha stayed with her at the hospital and held her hand.

So, instead of three girls and three guys dancing for their lives, it was four girls and three guys. Because Jessi couldn’t perform, she automatically had to dance. The bottom three couples were Neil and Lauren, Sara and Jesus, and Anya and Danny. Cedric, who had all but had his suitcase packed by Mary and Nigel last night, was safe.

I wasn’t impressed by any of the girls dances and neither were the judges. Nigel said none of them were good enough. He said the decision wasn’t unanimous. He told Lauren she wasted time coming on stage, then taking off her jacket. Then he coldly asked Jessi to step forward and told her she would be leaving. She looked stunned. Cat said she was stunned and asked Jessi how she felt. She said she felt the same. When asked what she would remember about the show, she said Pasha (whom she had called her boyfriend earlier, then retracted and said something like wannabe boyfriend). When asked if she had anything else to say, she said no. Now, either something is physically wrong with her and the judges felt it best to eliminate her or they were angered by her becoming dehydrated, felt it was unprofessional, and wanted her off the show. Given her stunned look, I’d say it was the latter.

All three guys did great, unfortunately, Neil and Danny were just too “outstanding” as Nigel said and Jesus was given his walking papers. But Nigel did say that it was decision they didn’t want to make and Jesus had been outstanding all season.
