So You Think You Can Dance: Kourtni and Matt Leave
Tonight on SYTYCD, Cat was back to her gorgeous self after last night’s strange hair and tuxedo dress. We saw a small filler bit on Tice being both nice and nasty on the road with auditions.
The first two couples called out were Katee and Joshua and Kherington and Twitch. When Katee and Joshua were told they were safe, Joshua fell to the floor. Then Cat told Kherington and Twitch they too were safe and it was Kherington’s turn to fall to the floor. Of the next group of couples, only Chelsie and Mark were safe, which meant Gev and Courtney and Kourtni and Matt were in the bottom three. Have Kourtni and Matt ever NOT been in the bottom three? From the final two couples, Will and Jessica were told they were safe, sending Thayne and Comfort to the bottom three once again.
For the solos, I, like Nigel, I thought Comfort’s was the weakest for the girls. Courtney came out blazing – there was no way she was going home. And for the guys, I thought Gev was the one that really came out and showed that he wanted to stay.
For the girls, it was not a unanimous decision. Nigel wanted Kourtni to stay, but Mary and Napoleon and Tabitha voted for Comfort. For the guys, Nigel told Gev they were delighted with him, but Matt came in at a high level and just never grew, so he was leaving.
So, another couple gone this week and it isn’t too much of a surprise, which is too bad because they were both great dancers, just had no chemistry together.
