So You Think You Can Dance: Noelle and Nathan Leave
Tonight, it was America’s turn to send two dancers home on “So You Think You Can Dance” instead of the judges. Which I am sure takes some of the heat off Mary, Nigel, and Adam. I loved the opening dance, but then again, I love old Billy Joel.
Noelle and Ryan did a steamy hip hop number last night that had Nigel calling her sexy. The followed that up with that Adam called a hypnotizing smooth waltz. Ashleigh and Legacy did a contemporary routine that Nigel called fantastic. Their second dance was a devilish hip hop number that the judges just didn’t feel. Kathryn and Nathan did a Broadway number that both won praises for. Their second dance was a rumba. Nigel wanted more ballroom, but said it was danced well. Mary didn’t like the chemistry.
Ellenore and Jakob did the dreaded quickstep. Nigel said it was comfortable, which I think was a good thing. Their second dance was a contemporary, which gave Adam goose bumps. Mollee and Russell did a lyrical jazz routine that Adam called absolutely beautiful. Nigel said he was as proud of Russell as his dad and Mary said she was as proud of Mollee as her mom. They followed that up with the jive and did so well, Nigel said he wished they had been a couple from the start.
Sometimes the performances during the show bore me, I’d rather just see the results. But I did enjoy seeing Quest (including Dominic and Hok) dance while Snoop Dog sang.
The bottom two girls were Noelle and Kathryn, with Noelle leaving. The bottom two guys were Ryan and Nathan, with Nathan leaving.
